i really could care less actually thats the reason i painted it. the flash of the camera REALLY makes it look worse than it really is. it wipes off with a gentle finger swipe. I hit some rain on the way back from allendale in august, and the car hasnt moved but a few feet since. its not like its salt or anything corrosive, itll get cleaned up in the spring when i have time.

From my experience that setup doesnt seem to sound nearly as good, and I am doing this for sound. Its not symmetric and mounting the mufflers more forward seems to give you a hollow muscle car sound that a rear-mounted setup doesnt seem to have.. Also rear mounted mufflers wont allow me to do the style of exit i want either. Additionally that requires a panhard relocation kit, whereas going over both sides does not (although i could still benefit from one). overall thats a very nice setup, but at this point im not even considering it as an option.

I figured but it sounds like youre worried about scavenging on a dual 3" system with an x-pipe I should be overkilling at that point already with only low 4xx hp.

True....with a dual 3 inch and only 400hp it's not going to make a hill of beans if the muffs are ahead of the axle or behind, I was just referring to an exhaust system in general and restriction.....the further back a restriction is in the exhaust stream the less effect if has on the cylinder.

looks like iffy waters, the other way you had it set up just seems like its asking for some clunking, sure theres room now but what about when the car is under stress? Guess you'll have to see when your done, gonna take a LOT of little tweaking, im excited to see it though, if you can get something to work I might just have to copy it someday .
