probably right behind your muffler (if you have one) or after your cat. Depending on how your piping routes. I couldn't tell ya exactly but obviously reach without a lift. Also don't burn yourself. hahaha. Get an electric one. You won''t regret it. My car is loud enough already.

Yes Nick cutouts will show an increase in hp on almost any car at least slightly.

Well space for a cutout is limited so there is pretty much only one place on a car with stock manifold with y, and that would be right before the muffler. You wouldn't need a lift to remove or replace the block off plate every time, a jack should suffice.

There is no point in placing it after the muffler, the point is to bypass it to gain hp and the muffler quites it down so it'd be louder.

Totally not what i meant. I mean BEFORE the muffler. So you get some sound out before it's "muffled" in the muffler. It would probably sound better by your cat.

they acctually make mufflers with cut outs in them fairly cheep, so all you do is take the 3 bolts outta the muffler and its straight pipe then... thats what i was thinking... cut outs atleast manual to me are pointless might as well just unbolt the collector and run open heads... but i wouldnt mind to be able to make it straight pipes with a couple bolts... warlock is one of the companys in jegs that sells "cut out" mufflers

Here's an in between cutout. Not fully manual, but not electric.

                              Decently priced. I think.
