Ok so anyhow......I originally thought my z needed a new optispark. Now im not sure. Saturday I drove the thing and it left me stranded for nearly 2 hours. It was chugging and sputtering and running like garbage. welll I went in to a store and came out and the thing would barely start. When I would get it started I had to rev it up a bit to get the idling to smooth out. I would then try to put it in any gear and as soon as I would do that,the car would stall. Well it has been parked in the driveway since then, I started it up last night and the thing ran like a brand new car. I dont wanna go spend the money on the opti if that is not what is wrong. Any ideas??????

no, I havent changed the fuel filter. I will try some injector cleaner tonight and see what happens. It did throw a check engine light on twice on saturday but it is no longer there.JTS & LTS HAVE MY <3

Before you do anything Missy I'd have someone check what codes were thrown when you check engine light came on.......that may point you in the right direction.West Michigan Pontiac Club

how close is auto zone. Or have your buddy bring his reader to your place. I agree with Scott to check codes first to maybe get pointed in the right direction.sigpic

last time the light came on.....i had it tested.....no codes came up. and autozone does not do obd1 testing here in town.JTS & LTS HAVE MY <3
