Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Does stabil help extend the shelf life of the fuel and prevent it from gumming up carbs? Didn't use anything when I put the bike away last year and it ran like absolute shit the first few times I started it after the winter even with fresh gas. Don't want to have to do a carb service any sooner than absolutely necessary.
That stabil 360 stuff looks really similar to the BG product we sell at the dealer. It's called BG ethanol defender. I called BS on the BG guy right to his face when he was training us on this new stuff - he had a demo where he took standard gasoline, added dye that only absorbed into the water that's stored by the ethanol, and showed it all to us so we could see the separation, like what's in the video on the link I just gave. After he poured in the BG ethanol stuff, it scattered the water/ethanol mixture so that the ethanol doesn't set on the bottom of the tank. He said that when the ethanol and water is floating in the gasoline, you don't get quite as bad of corrosion inside the tank, and you'll get better startup quality. The other bottle he had was a corrosion inhibitor that he said would keep the entire tank protected like what the stabil 360 stuff says.
Me personally, I just park it. Charge the battery once in a while. I don't run it until it's warm out, because if I don't want to help create any additional moisture inside the crankcase that I'm not going to get burned out just idling the car.
My storage routine is to take it for a cruise (usually pick up lunch)...fill the tank while out...then I bring it home (only 1 mile drive from station) and clean it up...back it up into the garage, change the oil and filter...throw on the battery tender, and cover it up.
