I have a Competition Clutch, stage 2.5 IIRC. It slips almost like stock but it holds great. I never thought of using the e brake, hmmm.

And yeah I was just talking about the launch, shifts you arent going to get around the slam lol

An axle can withstand a slam better in motion than it can at a standstill though... Theoretically you are distributing it across more teeth. Good idea if you can do id say.

I didnt know competition clutch was a brand... Thought you were just sayin its beefier than stock

lol yeah they are a smaller clutch company and cater mostly to the tuner crowd. They are located in Georgia I believe. Search them on LS1tech and you will not find 1 bad thing about there products, thats why I went with them. Plus my clutch was like $300 and came with everything I needed to install it. I would highly recommend them. Mine is the stg 2.

The only time its ever chattered is when you drive it wrong. And yes if you try to p****foot it, it will chatter your teeth out. Its usually nice and smooth with a small chirp taking off . Ive gotta have close to 25k on mine, no signs of it quitting.

You'll be happy if it's for a street car with mild/moderate power. I have one of their Stage 2 in my car and it drives like stock. I think I remember guys on ls1tech reporting that it held up to 400rwhp+ without slipping in a couple of their cars as well. The Stage 2.5 is supposed to hold a little more power as well.

So I been thinking a lot lately...I think I don't want to "stroke" my motor I want to keep it stock bore &stroke..I want to get the 200cc port job on my heads from ai, port my intake and get one of there custom grind cams (not sure the exact specs I would be interested in yet). Now I really want to keep pump gas.....so I'm wondering what compression pistons I should get????
