And yeah I was just talking about the launch, shifts you arent going to get around the slam lolOriginally posted by Gaspo View Postya, its do-able. not like an auto tho. and it depends on your clutch. mine can hardly slip at all. its almost a light switch. but its not under load between each shift. everytime you engage your clutch, it lets pressure off the ring gear. everytime you slam the next gear, it snaps pressure back into it.- 2012 Mustang GT 5.0 - M6 / Brembo Package / 3.73 / Bama Tune / Catless X / Corsa Xtreme /

An axle can withstand a slam better in motion than it can at a standstill though... Theoretically you are distributing it across more teeth. Good idea if you can do id say.
I didnt know competition clutch was a brand... Thought you were just sayin its beefier than stock

lol yeah they are a smaller clutch company and cater mostly to the tuner crowd. They are located in Georgia I believe. Search them on LS1tech and you will not find 1 bad thing about there products, thats why I went with them. Plus my clutch was like $300 and came with everything I needed to install it. I would highly recommend them. Mine is the stg 2.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostAn axle can withstand a slam better in motion than it can at a standstill though... Ditto on the Spec stage 3. How many miles on yours Joel? Does it still chatter?Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostLike what jeremy said, I cant really do that with my clutch. The line between engaged/disengaged is too fine and even if i did manage it, it would heat up and start to slip... Only takes a few seconds to get hot. What kind of clutch do you have? I will say i do use te ebrake sometimes to help control my launches.2015 Silverado

The only time its ever chattered is when you drive it wrong. And yes if you try to p****foot it, it will chatter your teeth out. Its usually nice and smooth with a small chirp taking offOriginally posted by Boost Addict View PostDitto on the Spec stage 3. How many miles on yours Joel? Does it still chatter?
. Ive gotta have close to 25k on mine, no signs of it quitting.

You'll be happy if it's for a street car with mild/moderate power. I have one of their Stage 2 in my car and it drives like stock. I think I remember guys on ls1tech reporting that it held up to 400rwhp+ without slipping in a couple of their cars as well. The Stage 2.5 is supposed to hold a little more power as well.Originally posted by ryanwarby01 View PostI am going to replace my clutch when I do my trans next month and I think I am going to give these guys a try. So I been thinking a lot lately...I think I don't want to "stroke" my motor I want to keep it stock bore &stroke..I want to get the 200cc port job on my heads from ai, port my intake and get one of there custom grind cams (not sure the exact specs I would be interested in yet). Now I really want to keep pump gas.....so I'm wondering what compression pistons I should get????
