Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

what is a "momentary"? why does it need to cut spark? i'd like to see a video of it in action. so you push the button to hit the 2 step on launch, and then let the clutch out, take off, and as long as the button is still down, you dont have to lift to shift?
It's just a button. I just use the 2step at launch - it's not used any other time.
A 2 step cuts spark because thats how it works. It cuts spark to limit RPM.
Nocooler has a momentary switch as well as the clutch activation. This means to use his 2 step he not only has to hold the clutch in but hit the button. He does this so when he pushes in the clutch to shift the 2 step doesn't activate and cut his spark.

Exactly. I don't lift to shift - I.E - I power shift it. It's hard on parts and breaks shit even if you know what your are doing.
It's a little easier on the trans if I let the 2 step cut the spark on the shift, but it backfires.
The load cell no lift shift that LNC just released is for faceplated transmission - as the engagement window is opened up with the face plates.
^ i wanna do that! so, what i'd like to do is have a 2 step launch control and no lift to shift. whats the best way to acheieve it? what i want is to spool up on the line, have super consistent launches and shift as fast as possible. my "rival" and i always race, he has a 96 ss fully forged, cammed, heads, and lotsa nitrous. he always has me from a dig, he's an auto with a lil better traction. i always have him from a roll, but i lose ground every time i shift and it takes me a minute to gain momentum again. i dont want that issue anymore.

it's for faceplated units only. You could use the 2step to do an ignition cut, or just power shift it. Either way - you'll probably end up breaking the keys in it eventually.
haha i dont shift slow.. but not quite as fast as an auto.. altho, i do shift slow from 2-3. i think 3rd syncrhos are going bad.. when i first start my car, hit 3rd for the first time, (even under super low rpms and load) it grinds into third.

does the c6zr1 have no lift shift? Idk where I heard that...
I wouldn't powershift a synchronized t56, it will break parts and give you headache in every part from the flywheel to the rear tires. If you can shift fast, the gain from powershifting will be too minimal to be worth it. If you shift fast already, this will only make you faster: http://www.rangeracceleration.com/
Not to toot my own horn, but a few people on this site can verify that I can shift damn fast, even when I lift. I used to powershift my old black car, but that lead to broken parts. You have to be pretty fast to powershift 500 rpm from the limiter and not hit it on the shifts. That said, you're going to lose momentum on a turbo car in between shifts if you lift. I drove a turbo cobalt around this summer and that was my biggest complaint about it was that it loses so much momentum on the shifts. If you don't lift, even with no lift shift, you're going to break parts eventually.
