Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

with enough money you can make just about any combo streetable. For most people a good FI setup will be more streetable and make more hp, if you stay out of boost the car should have great street manners.

This is so true. You can make any combo streetable. But the question is where is the threshold? Making the power is the easy part with these cars
If I had a LS powered sports car as a daily driver, I would keep it simple- Full bolt ons, stall, and change the final drive ratio.
It would be good for consistant low 12s and be dependable and efficiant without spending much too much money.
Someone is always going to be faster than you.

There is no threshold on what the limit is for streetable power. Just look at the Hot Rod Drag Week, there are cars in it that are running sub-7's in the quarter then driving hundreds of miles between tracks.

I agree 100% and streetability is so relative. If your asking what is too much power for the street well with a well setup suspension I can see 500rwhp even being too much at times the real question is what do you plan on doing with the car? are you looking to make numbers, street race, fast cruiser??
I would say 500, but thats me. Depends on the non-street intended purpose. A road race car would probably tackle the street better with more power than a drag car.
Personally for me I think anything over 500ish would be too much. It all depends on what you want out of the car and what you are willing to tolerate. I know at 440rwhp if I don't pay close attention I will find myself puckering up.

Big X2. My blower car was 440rwhp many moons ago when it ran, and even that required some finesse on street tires with a T56. Actually, looking back, I think around 450rwhp with the drivability of a blower and a mild/stock cam is about perfect for on the street. I wish I never took that bastard apart, lol. 500rwhp is pretty much the most I'd ever need to be completely happy for a street cruiser. That's more than enough to run high 10's/bottom 11's in a full weight 4th gen.

exactly.. when my car put down 500rwhp it was great for the street.. was fast enough that it could run low 11's all day and hold its own on the street very well
To some guys a 800+RWHP car with a 10 point and a single Kirkey is a street car. To others a simple 400RWHP car is a race car just because it doesn't have AC.
I think 700-800RWHP is a good number before it gets out of hand. When you get around 700+ it starts getting difficult to hook on the street.
Obviously there are a lot of other things that make a car a street car or a race car other than power level
