my buddies cobra put down 490rwhp and thing is fun to drive but it just spins, you have to have some skill behind a wheel to keep it inline. i think any amount of power needs a good suspension setup because any amount of power if out of control is to much.

so i would say build to the max but remember hp doesnt mean much if you cant control it. cuz when you get beat by a $4,000 2-tone lt1 car when you just bought a 490rwhp $18,000 cobra feelings get hurt.

This is where spray is good. Build a 450rwhp DD which should suffice in 99.9% of your driving and have a 200 shot for when you "just need more". With a remote bottle opener, it can hide in the trunk and you can open the bottle at will.
When in doubt, Whip it out !

Once your spinning, smoke is smoke. And on the other hand, it's only enough power until it doesnt scare you anymore, then you will want more. So it sounds like the trick is to get it to hook on the street.

its all relative if you have 400 RWHP after a while it won't seem as fast and you'll want 450 or 500. We just delivered a ZL1 today and these are crazy fast in stock form. Katech added 100 -120 more HP for the guy. Funny thing it was very street driveable.

Comes to the three B's.....Budget - Brains - Ballz. Probably two out of three will get you where you want to go.....quickly

My car put down 620 on pump gas and 10# of boost, It's very controllable and streetable. Im at the point of used to it, at that power it went low 10's and now i'm ready to turn the boost back up with a better trans. it's never enough no matter what you make, you'll always get used to a cars threshold of power and how to control it and then want to step up....

Just like my R6, it's nothing crazy in terms of a street bike, but when I first got it, it was pretty quick to me and I respected it. Now i've had it so long and I'm so used to it, dropping the clutch at 7k and riding a wheelie down the road doesn't phase me, you get used to everything and are ready for more.

What trans on your Camaro currently? I know what you mean and I agree, once you're used to the power you'll want to step it up. That's how I am right now with my bolt-on WS6, ofcourse it's only ~340rwhp but I respect what it's capable of always even though I'm used to it and want a LOT more power lol.

im at about 540 rwhp right now. with street tires, (275's) i dont get any traction till about 70. if i brake boost, i dont have any traction till top of 3rd (around 90). now i gotta put money into the drive train to put some sticky tires on it. depends on your budget and stuff too i guess

You must have the worst suspension setup and the crappiest tires in the world. No offense, but something seriously needs to change if your not hooking at all until 70 miles an hour, thats just retarded.

And an aside note, the nelson 65 chevelle with "1400" hp. Since when does the stock fuel rail support enough fuel for twins and 1400hp?
