I agree with Larry - your problem was the MAF was bad and the plugs kept fouling out. You replaced the MAF which fixed the code - now your car isn't throwing the MAF code, I would think with new plugs you'd be OK?

your local auto parts store may be able to rent one out. ill check around with people i know. why dont you just buy a fuel pressure gauge and install it in that 3rd vent?

just wonder what your fuel press is ?maybe regulator ?did you remove to polish rails? just seems weird since all the fuel and running same set up. good luck!

like i said. alot of tuners are hacks. probably didnt get tuned well in speed density. when the maf failed the car gets pushed into SD and killed the plugs.
you replaced the maf but the plugs are dead. try the good maf and new plugs once the intake is back on and torqued
then visit dr phil to fix the tune from SD up.

yeah, I've driven it for almost 6 years with these injectors.. 12000 miles. Car has sat for extended periods before and always fire right up and idled smooth after 30-40 seconds...Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Postit wouldnt still be alive if it wasnt tuned or somewhat tuned

I would start there, your car ran for 2 minutes, its still in cold startup. So your pcm is dumping fuel to get the car up to temp. Its running rich with 28 lb injectors. The pcm doesn't know it has 36 lbers and its dumping even more fuel. Your O2s don't start switching until it goes into closed loop. Basically the pcm has no idea its flooding your engine until its in closed loop. Even more so, your injectors were flow matched and they probably flow better than they used to!
Also take into account that maybe they were scaled with a tune. Its possible the previous did not know they were 36 lb at 4 bar.Last edited by shawnc16; February 27th, 2011, 12:44 PM.

All I can honestly tell you, is those injectors have been in the car since I bought it.. Same tune.. The car ran fine, always a little rich, which makes more sense now that I know they are the equivalent of 36# injectors.. But it ran.. I pulled the intake and found fuel around every port on the intake and on the heads, thinking that can't be helping it run right..
