  • LOL! Your center panel does look great Larry! I guess I'll see how it looks after the current faded decal is removed and the panel is polished up...

Well, only reason I am thinking yours would look better polished is because your car is red.. So if you do the "phoenix" and "Trans Am" it will just look stock.. If that makes sense...

      • Fred- you are going to have to wet sand and polish the piece between the taillights to get the old decal off anyway, so you will be able to see what it looks like then.

Exactly! Is this the best method (wet sanding) to get the decal off? I will be using a resource that had buffing jacks, so I'm not worried about getting the shine back

Looking at your sig... I seem to remember you removed your body side moldings, do you have any closer pictures of that area?

just start with like 1000 to get the decal itself off (will take a while) and then move to 1500, then 2000. Be sure to use a wet sadnign "block" for this to make it as level as possible. Dont rush it

                • Another decal... and more pics!

I got my last decal in the mail a couple days ago...

I also pulled the Firebird out of the garage and staged a quick little shoot with my car... then my dad came home and parked like a 4x4

                  I miss Pontiac

Dude you have no idea how FILTHY my car was when we took those pictures. I cant believe how good the pictures even turned out. I just spent an hour washing my wheels and undercarriage lol.

btw, is it just me or does freds camera look like it is a wide angle lense? Its just a point and shoot.
