Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I'd like to completely debadge my car of all the markings except for the bird on the front...at least until the license plate area is someday cut out to reveal an intercooler. That way I can just say "uhm...yeah" when people ask me if it's a viper. It has happened here at school!
When I bought the car, I noticed there were some hoses bunched up in the engine bay that weren't hooked up to anything on the one side. Well today I investigated them further and found they were coming from the air pump on the driver side, behind the running light. I dropped the trap door and removed the 4 bolts. With a bit of persuasion, it slid right out through the trap door, hoses and all. Pictures of air pump assembly below...

The spare tire mount would rattle when I'd get on the throttle, so that had to go. Between the tire, jack, and mounting hardware, I must have shaved 40 pounds.
I purchased a "Smooth Bellows" from eBay last week, and it finally came in the mail today. Overall the fit was decent, the inlet and outlet diameters are good. The length was about 1/4" to 3/8" too long, but with the help of my belt sander... it was an easy fix . For the price of $26, I think it was worth it. Much cheaper than a true SLP Smooth Bellows. The main goal here was looks.
As I was pulling the stock bellows out, I found out why my car felt so fast... I'll let the pictures do the talking...
Needless to say... It was not "re-installed", if you can even classify that thing as an install
And this is how the engine bay looks. I'm hoping to have a SLP lid in the next couple days. Then the STB will be painted when the other paint work is done. And then a red-top battery.
Here are some pictures I grabbed from the calendar submission thread. Thanks quick86! I think these two pictures have convinced me to delete the moldings entirely, including the "Trans Am" on the doors.
I would advise against leaving the spare out. I took mine out when I went to the track last year and never bothered to put it back in. It really sucked when I got a flat last week and my Dad had to drive an hour to bring it to me.

Good point, that sucks to hear. I do have AAA tho, so I'll just call for a flat bed

I like having a loud car, every time the neighbors dog barks, I just go let my car sit and idle in the driveway
I will be debadging the T/A in the winter. It has the sleak beak hood so it will just look like a plain bird . Door moldings are def. coming off..I hate them with a passion!
