when putting a 93 lt1 in a 94 car v6 will i have to pull the hole dash out to replace the dash harness or is there away around it?

the engine harness has 3-4 wires that connect under the pass. side of the dash. You don't have to change dash panel but down the road may want to because the z28 dash has 155 speedo instead of 110.

You might have to change the gauge cluster because I've read that the speed senders are different on the v6 compared to v8. I'll be finding out first hand in a few weeks.

I guess the real question is whether or not you have the plugs that would come with the 94 engine harness under your dash. If you do then I don't see why you would have to pull the whole dash out. The three or four plugs are all on the passenger side by the kick panel - you'll have to remove it to get to it.

it leaks antifreeze from either the freeze plug or it has a cracked block not really sure i imagine it just a freeze plug but if you still want it let me know.

the only diff in the speedo is if you have the 94 set up the computer cant read the magnetic pick up trust me on this, i did it, the 93 computer is electric read but plastic gear to plastic gear like the old ones, just use the same trans with the motor that its with and you should be fine, the dash is set up to transfer out i did nothing special when i did it once i got the right gear set up.

thats right, just make sure for the computer you use the 93 trans and speed sensor, i used the one out of the 94 magnetic reader like 50,000 turns or somthing and the 93 and down use a gear even though its electronic signal, but at like 94,000 turns. so 94 trans on a 93 computer take off doing 190 mph and just moving down a hill at 5 mph. $1000 on wireing and still problem when we found out the diffrence in gear cost $2.00, what a money blower.

i know thats right, lesson learnd to help save some one else. you just lift the one car take entire front end trans still hooked up and pull it out same to yours and slide the new one in all hooked up saves time.
