  • Bigger problems than a popped gasket!

Hey guys I went to the track about a month ago and though I popped a head gasket due to the car backfiring constantly and haven't had much time to tear the car apart until now. I lifted the driver side head to discover this.

Any ideas what cause this!? My best guess is that I spun a shitty '98 rod and it took off from there but what do you guys think?

I'm with Mike on this one I definatly think its a broken ringland, either way it sucks balls and the head will need fixing and the motor has to come out and be replaced with something forged

A 370 nitrous motor don't sound to bad for the price
