I HATE RATCHET SHIFTERS!!! when you come out of the burn out box and go to shift back down to 1st i always get lost and end up in neutral then get back into 1st! i hate hate hate hate hate those shifters that and the vehicle i drove with one it was not the greatest one so it would go 1st to 3rd often 8-O

that's the way to go! i think that's how i blow all my $$ on my car, live at home, but i do pay for my tuition (which right now at community colleges is not too expensive) truck payment/ins, and cell phone, that's about all....

a forward manual pattern would eliminate that problem

reverse pattern is usually more desirable because with a normal pattern prN321 depending on the shifter it's easy to push through third and go into neutral thus completely ruining your run. with a reverse pattern, to get third just pull all the way back and you're home free

you would think making a good shifter these days to prevent that wouldnt be that difficult.
