I have a 383 with an Eagle assembly, SIR Ibeam Rods and a small base cam that has a 108LSA and .568 lift and I still hit my SIR rods with the lobes of the cam.
Had to grind a little of the top of the nuts & rods to clear the cam

Now if I can get my trany fixed and a little better tune I should be able to push my full weight 6 speed into the high to mid 11's

Ok. well I just contacted the company that i got the crank from and they have a 30 day retuen policey .

So now i am stuck with the crank.lol.

Well you win some and you lost more.

So now I would like to use the crank and i am sure i am set on have VRE Doing the work on motor wiring.

would that crank work in any other block? I would not mind buying a nother 350 or 400 block and installing it. We have the 40's chevy coupe needing a power plant.

what is the psi you think the block could with that crank installed . I would rather make that crank work unless it would be cheaper to buy a $577 3.875 crank .

I havve also tried to IM VRE but i guess they are not in the shop at 7pm.lol

the crank would work in another block, sure, but you wont have an lt1 (no opti provision, for example)

Humm . Well i am lost on that coment. I was just thinking crab 400 block. and just add a efi intake and use a GM HEI to handel the spark.

We have 2 cars that culd use a nice motor build.

sure you can do that, but you will need a different ecm. the lt1 pcm/ecm will only work with the opti style ignition inputs...
