i doubt dave did anything wrong, im not blaming him, just wondering if it seems like i have a lot of trans fluid already in there. ill check again tonight before i bring it home.

did you put any fluid in the converter when you installed it?

A 100% empty trans should take a lot of fluid. When you drop the pan and change the fluid in reality you are only changing like 2/3 of the fluid maybe less.

yeah , i believe my converter took 3 quarts itself, maybe more im not sure, but your gonna use everybit of that 11 quarts

Bad news for ya, I'm headed home to cleveland this weekend for a little while... I still have my apt in lansing for now but If money's right and I don't have any complications I will see about driving out to 131. I plan on having a lot done this year (hopefully). Intake Mani, suspension, rotors, wheels and tires (lighter and wider ), and clean it up too: paint, interior, window tint.

Yeah what 5-7 quarts depending on the trans, Maybe 1/3 is all. Gotta love the Manuals!!!! When they're full it runs out the hole!!!

Dave told me I didnt have to fill the converter first. i always thought you did, and thats why i asked. As of right now it has 12 full qts and 3rd and od will not engage. Im just going to try and call him again after 5. This freakin sucks

well talked to dave last night, says that i might have a bad pressure solenoid. i dont have the time or money to do this again. not sure what im going to do. i may just have to pull the insurance and park it. anyone have a free 4l60e that works, lol?

no, just that he needs it back, which means i have to get the car to him, which is going to cost a shitload in gas money, plus i dont have a dolly or trailer to get it to him. he was supposed to call me back last night to let me know when he will have time to look at it, but he never called. maybe he will call tonight.

Just to let everyone know, I picked my car up yesterday from Daves house and all is well. i put about 200 miles on the car yesterday and it is a great feeling to be back in my car. them 6 weeks felt like i waited all winter again except that i got to watch eveyone else drive theirs. can wait to get out and do something.
