I was at the track on saturday...knowing the trans was going to go....so my trans is pulled sitting in the garage...what are the phone numbers of the people that can rebuild my trans...also around how much would it be...

as soon as mines done, im there rick. not sure of the break in time but im anxious. talked to dave last night and i should be able to pick it up tomorrow night. i need some volunteers to get it put in before the weekend. any takers?? dont make me get my wife out there, lol.

well i picked my trans up yesterday. was in kind of a hurry because i wanted to get it home and get started installing it. come to find out, the converter was the wrong one, and not Daves fault. either it was boxed wrong or the guy he ordered his parts from screwed up. anyways Dave said i should have the correct converter by tuesday, so you know what ill be doing tuesday night. im also glad that i finally got to meet Dave and his wife, they are some pretty cool people. i could have stayed and talked the rest of the night, and i also got to see their cars up close and personal, very nice cars, even the cobalt SS was freakin sweet. My thanks goes out to Dave and Angie and the people who pointed me in the right direction.

OK guys im having an issue. I tried calling Dave but he doesnt seem to be home. Got the trans in and fluid in. Dave was saying that it may need about 9 qts of trans fluid. I put in 5 started it and waited for it to warm up. checked the fluid, nothing. added 2 more qts, still nothing. as of right now i have 11 qts and it was reading a little low yet. i took the car for a slow drive, wont shift into 3rd and didnt have reverse until about the 9th qt. i had to drive it about 10 miles to the exhaust shop. didnt check it before i left but still wouldnt shift into 3rd or od. i put in a brand new converter and a 7.5 x 15.5 trans cooler. with everything being completely empty, how many qts should it take? ill try and get in touch with dave again tomorrow night, but any advice until then would help. thanks
