Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I love how everyone recommended Ridings' work just last year and even though the converter wasn't to blame you guys still find a way to bash his work...

My trans and converter is from Ridings. Haven't had any problems and it's been 4 years.
actually i dont think ive ever recommended his work to anyone.. simply bc when i bought my converter it took me almost 4 months to get it.. and then kept getting excuses everytime i called to check up on it.. let alone when i got it.. it worked "ok" for just driving.. but not at the track.. which is prob the reason why you think yours is good bc you dont go to the track and also have never compared between a different one.

When problems occur one after another. Terrible service, hard to get ahold of and just disappear. That's shady, thus causing the bashing.
But yours is a cruiser camaro isn't it? I never seen you beat on your camaro which is why it probably functions great
C'mon now - I drive my car hard. I may not street race at every light but I still drive it hard.
trust me.. there is a difference between street driving it hard and actually racing it at the track.. my car u couldnt tell the converter was garbage on the street.. get it on the track.. junk.. dyno.. junk
I know we're not going ls1tech here I think people are just voicing heir experiences wih him. I haven't dealt with mike personally but I do think from the dealings my close friends have bad that he started not caring about this business a couple years ago and started getting shady.

I know - and obviously I'm biased because he did my converter and trans for free in exchange for sponsoring the site, but it just seems shitty that a bunch of the big HP guys just last year were going to him all the time to get converters from him and now everyone's bashing his work.

Perhaps his earlier work had created a reputation that he could no longer maintain. There are a few cases within this thread of his work failing..and we're just a little f-body community.
The lack of communication, wasted trips down there to find my stuff not done, and his the lockup clutch failing in my last 2 converters from him and him not standing by the warranty has just done it for me. I gave him plenty of chances, and he is a nice guy, I'm just done. We only get 6 months a year to enjoy our toys we put so much time and care into, I'm not letting someone else hold me up.
I will be having my converter cut open on Monday to make sure it's all OK. Keeping my fingers crossed. We'll see :/
