They are going to rebuild it and put a vacuum modulator on it. They said they have had a lot of luck going that route with the higher HP LS cars. Thoughts?

All the super serious 4l60 builds on tech seem to mention using one.

At this point it sounds like your only bet, especially if they are willing to do the work at no cost.

Hopefully they get you back on the road relatively quick and inexpensive.

How many times have you taken a transmission out of that car?

Anyone know what the heck this thing actually does or had any experience with one? How does it differ from the computer controlling line pressure.

That's how they used to build 60's back in the day before there were good parts/tuners. The vacuum mod controls line pressure . Lower the vacuum the higher the pressure. So as soon as you go wot pressure goes up. I don't know of anyone still doing it like that. I've put a bunch or rpm units in and have never seen one

text him. he wont be able to play with trans stuff as much i dont think with that. Between him and rpm i bet they would tell you exactly why you are hurting parts

Ha! I'll pass on the "I'm not your mechanic" speech again. Which is true, but I pester him a lot as it is. I'd love to have RPM do me a level 5, but the car budget is completely zilch this year. Have to prioritize, not single anymore, the unfinished house and *****en barn doesn't keep the "wife" happy, lol.

She actually wants knobs on our closet doors, can you believe that!? What nerve!

Haha, no Fred. I just know what's good for me. Happy wife happy life applies to more than just "wife"

No one has any experience with these? Is it even possible in theory, to help resolve my 3-4 issues?
