        Is that a 4wd trans?

You'll have to swap the output shaft if it is........

I believe it is, and I thought the same thing.

New shaft, tailhousing, etc...going to be a pain in the ass

Lol wont be an issue at all. Couple buddies and myself, this is what we do 40+ hrs a week. Thanks for the concern although. Planned in going through it and updating/upgrading sprag and bands and couple other things. Even considering a transbrake

            Got it under control

Picked it up for $100 so im gonna put some money into it

If you are going to tear it fully down - then it's not an issue

You going to put Jake's kit in it or something else?

Definately looking at jakes, ecspecially if something else that possibly may be in the works, works out

ok i guess im on my own with that. another thing im finding is that the 98 pcms wont run the 4l80e so that means ill most likely have to get a standalone or swap my 98 pcm for a 99+. whats involved in the pcm swap?

any pcm that will run a 4l60 should run a 80. the connectors are the same too. just move a few pins. phil told me something about the input shaft speed sensor. ill have to ask again

http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4l80e.htm. check this out mike I'm sure u will find parts u need, as far as the wiring I think we can handle repinning it and adding input conector...

You guys think that a stock rebuild besides sprag and bands would be enough to hold the power or should i do something like a "monster in a box" stage build or the ss monster in a box from monster transmission???
