let me find more out about both motors. 5.3 has the typical 862 heads, 6.0 has the 317's

Pistons pulled. Cleaned the bores with my new 320grit flex hone. The 3 cylinders aren't perfect but they are a LOT better, and good enough for the girls I run with (which is nothing to laugh at)
Pistons - would you guys run a moly or moly/teflon coating on the pistons? I can get this done for free since it would be a "product test" for my friend's company.
Rings - I bought new Mahle moly rings, well, the kit with the moly coated top ring anyway. What are people gapping these LSx motors at?
Rod bearings - they look pretty good, but I think I'll get new anyway (unless this isn't advised)

Also looking for a good used cam. I'd like to find a cheap 2002-04 z06 cam and valve springs.
If I find some extra cash laying around I would like a TSP 228r and some PAC 1218 springs
