ive been using K&N oil filters the last few changes on my car, and i dont think im gonna switch it to anything else... easy to change with a normal wrench you can tell its better quality... the oil always comes out clean even in my beater car with over 10,000 miles on one change..lol and when you pull the filter you can fell how heavy it is when you drain it... it grabs more than anything else ive used, so im happy... little more pricey though figure an average filter is 3-6 bucks for a standard they are about 10-12 for a K&N but well worth it i think... and i switch from valvoline oil to royal purple and its worth the extra couple bucks a quart for that... aslong as you buy in a decent bulk size its not too expensive..

I always do acdelco, i busted a fram filter and it was like white paper inside. I busted a delco and it was a black paper sort of like the stuff you use to prevent weeds from growing through rocks but tighter woven. I def saw that it was more effective.
The reason why fram has a bad name is they had some issues with their glue at one point inside the filter. I believe they fixed these problems now.Comment
