3 Channel means ABS only, NO ASR
4 Channel means ABS and ASR

with a 4 channel, you don't have to lose anything with any of the rear ends. (not 100% sure about the S60, but 12 bolt and 9" i know for sure you will not lose either of the 2)
with a 3 channel, you will lose your ABS with a 9" because of the way the pickup for the ABS is on 3 channel rear ends.

i opted to lose my ABS with my 9" because i didn't care, and don't like the ABS anyways...

like i said before though, it's kindof the "rule of thumb" that if you are a manual car get the 9" if you are an auto, go with the 12 bolt. (12 bolt isn't as strong, but auto's are far less harsh on rears then manuals) and if you are just balls out and have assloads of power, then go with the S60

that's my understanding on the options

as matt said. but im an auto going with a 9inch regardless.....
IMO the 9 inch is built better than the 12 bolt.

and i dont have ABS neway nemore.

i would def say the tr224 is too small for whatyour looking for an di dont even know what your looking for

well if thats the case then I dont see any reason not to go with the S60, its cheaper than the 12 bolt (I dont know what a strange 9" costs) and stronger then both the 12 bolt and the 9".

yeah but if you have to question whether you're going to break a 9" or not and actually need something stronger, you're running a lot of HP. my 9" with the TrueTrac was gaurenteed to handle abuse into the 10's. and if i break it, i'll be proud of myself and then get a spool.

the thing is the 9" weighs an assload. and the S60...well it weighs even more.

to put it into perspective, i can heev-HO a 10 bolt into the back of a pickup with out too much of a problem.

when i got my 9" it took both my step dad and I to get the 9" out of the bed of the truck!

the S60 is a beast. if you are looking for a rear end, i'de talk with a guy named scott at Driveline-solutions, he built me 2 rear ends, and does great work.

his handle on here is SLP SS i believe
