Thats what i would think too, but you might second guess that if you experienced the degree of vibration that went through the car when that thing let go ...

Well the yoke is cast I believe unless you get a forged unit. I would assume it would just break, I guess it could fracture on a cast unit.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Did you look inside the yoke to see if the splines are twisted? Its a super common problem with stock yokes and as the suspension cycles it will not let the yoke slide freely on the output shaft as needed causing a bind.
Something to look at.

So youre talking about the front of the driveshaft? It seemed to slide in and out pretty effortlessly when I R&R'd it.Originally posted by c0ncEpT View PostDid you look inside the yoke to see if the splines are twisted? Just call up Strange and get a forged yoke. Won't have to worry anymore.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostSo youre talking about the front of the driveshaft? It seemed to slide in and out pretty effortlessly when I R&R'd it.
EDIT: Strange doesn't make them for the 10 7.5". http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/c397...h_10_bolt.html 80 bucks for the 1350.
Here is the 27 spline Slip Yoke, 1350. 65 bucks. http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/p252..._se.html#photo
Get those and all you'll have to worry about is twisting the driveshaft in two. Haha.Last edited by Fox Slaughter; May 10th, 2012, 10:12 PM.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Why can't i get it balanced? Granted itll probably cost the same, but Its not that bad. I think it is the pinon angle going all over that is amplifying a relatively small issue by three or four fold.
Anyone have a DS for sale?
Anyone want to buy a 95 Camaro?

You think its a Corvette or something?Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Post$20 a day for a year and a half and you got a deal!
It can't even drive down the road without vibrating your teeth out right now. So 20 bucks. 40 if it was in perfect working order.

I might be interested in that.Originally posted by birdie2000 View PostActually, I have one I'd sell. Steel CCI unit, bought last year, has about 500-750 miles on it. I think it's 3" but not positive. Really nice piece.
Does a 9" use a different length driveshaft?
I'm trying to turn it into oneOriginally posted by Fox Slaughter View PostYou think its a Corvette or something?
