everyone has given you good suggestions, 1 question that wasn't asked is what is your budget for this. If your not ready to spend for headers then cam isn't going to help you that much. you might just consider leaving cam alone and put 1:6 roller rockers in that will give some improvement as if a mild cam was put in. and not cost as much.

I am working on working something out with S. Reef for his mid tubes. The car is an automatic. I am not loking for crazy HP/TQ numbers I just want to run with bolt on equipped LS1's. I was thinking of going with the comp cams bee hive springs and then whatever cam was recommended.

Crane went under last Wednesday, but Comp should be able to help and they are solid on their warranty. Honestly, it's all inwhat you want to do with it. You could go crazy with it, or just get that little extra oomph. I would decide what your plans would be down the line and maybe shop according to that.

honestly if you want to ever consider a cam, longtubes or nothing at all, those mids are not optimal and hardly worth the swap. Also I would recommend a stall converter for an aftermarket cam as well.

Like everyone else said do full exhaust first then look into the Futral cams

they are better than stock but that is about it, also they are somnething you'll want to replace over again so imo just do it right the first time around.

Cams are over-rated No but seriously, like everyone has said: Open up the exhaust and intake and a cam will make you golden.

224/224 114LSA, good mild cam. If you want a little more power go 226/226.
