went to the track and went to depress the clutch to get it out of 3rd and the clutch pedal was solid as a rock! got it by the time slip booth and a buddy came by and pushed it down breaking my slave cylinder off. i replaced the slave, and now its still solid as a rock! btw i drove it home from the track with no clutch! so i know the clutch is still ok/engaged. any thoughts of what it could be?

wow that sucks! how did you manage driving home with no clutch??? I can shift without using the clutch, but you still have to press it to come to a stop. im trying to think what could cause that.-Joel

He won't hurt the forks too bad. The worst damage will be when the syncho rings get all stretched out from having to synchonize the gears under the weight of the whole car. Once the synchos are ruined, he'll be double-clutching every gear change to keep from grinding the gears. Don't know what double-clutching is? Ask gramps or and old time truck driver.

trans is new, so no concerns there, but we took the slave back off and the clutch fork is stuck in, and wont come back, so we have to take the trans back out
