Just like painting. The process involves the item to actually be prepped and painted first in the base layer that you want behind the graphic (Most carbon uses a black or grey base) Then you dip the item to get your graphics, and final step is clear and wetsand/buff to your finished product!Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostHow durable is hydro dipping?

Being that Hydro-dipping is a much more professional process, essentially just an enhanced version of painting adding an additional step in the process, I do not. To be able to hydro-dip you have to know how to paint, and when I say paint I don't mean rattle can. You also have to have a lot more professional equipment to do the dipping process.
