    Anyone know of any places in the flint or sterling heights area that does hydro dipping have a few things I want to get done

    We are starting this here shortly! If you can hold out a bit we'd love to help you out. Doing parts for my car for autorama here shortly and have a full tank on the way!!!

                Just like painting. The process involves the item to actually be prepped and painted first in the base layer that you want behind the graphic (Most carbon uses a black or grey base) Then you dip the item to get your graphics, and final step is clear and wetsand/buff to your finished product!

                      How long before your ready.. I have a set of valve covers I want done in CF

                        If there's areas I don't want done can they be covered and won't affect the finish. I want my do my TT2 wheels in black or CF but leave the lip chrome.

                          anyone else think hydro dipping will be the next plasti-dip?

                              Being that Hydro-dipping is a much more professional process, essentially just an enhanced version of painting adding an additional step in the process, I do not. To be able to hydro-dip you have to know how to paint, and when I say paint I don't mean rattle can. You also have to have a lot more professional equipment to do the dipping process. I think it will become very popular, but not a process people do on their own by purchasing a $5 can at Lowe's or Home Depot.
