actually for the kit i bought it's actually bad for the HID's to be on the DRL power because it's actually less power than your lights get compared to when your low beams are on. My kit actually said disable the DRL's by taking out the DRL fuse in the fuse box, but fourth gens don't have drls so it worked out great. But yeah if you want to run them all the time i suggest you run your low beams all the time.

To me, my DRLs look like regular low beams...I have automatic lights, and I don't think the headlights ever turn off.

Just saying, they warn about it, your drl's should be low powered low beams, but i'm not sure. Either way you'll love them.
