Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Well got off my butt and took some pics, sorry they are kind of blurry but without the flash it's hard to get a good clear picture, but i think you'll get the idea. This is for all of you trying to make up your mind on HID's.... and believe me it looks even better in person.

looks good i just put 8000K headlights and fogs in my Ram. I have 8000K HID's in my camaro, hell i think my buddy mikey and I were one of the first ones every to have HID's in our cars that was 3 or 4 years ago!!!
thanks for the comments, my only regret is that i did not do this mod sooner, but i think i'm going to buy a 6k kit for the high beams, they'll be a little bit brighter, and so far i've passed 5 cops with them on and have yet to be pulled over or hassled about them.

Do you have them in the stock housings or do you have projectors? I have mine in the regular halo housings and haven't had an issue with people flashing their brights or getting pulled over at all.

Get in on the group purchase.. You can get a set for your highs and foglights for 125.00 each

Stupid question....are HID's illegal or did you mean a cop thought you had your brights on and would have pulled you over? They really improve your lighting but whenever somebody with them passes me I can't stand it.
I thought at one point someone said that any HID system that is not installed from the factory is illegal. And you know i used to feel the same way, but I got tired of truck's that forget their brights are on blinding me, so i am a little un sympathetic, plus if it's that bad people shouldn't stare at them.

Yeah, I've heard that HIDs in non-factory housing (IE: aftermarket) are illegal. I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over for it, though. The main problem is that if you put a TRUE HID bulb into a non-HID housing the light just bounces off of everything and it creates a really nasty beam. A true HID set up, when aimed at the wall, should have a sharp cutoff line and should have a spectrum edge.
This is an example of an HID bulb in a non-HID housing:
Here's a true HID w/ HID housing:
Notice in the first pic it's all jagged and there's tons of hot spots where the light is stronger and uneven. In the 2nd pic it's really smooth and you can see the "rainbow" spectrum on the edge of the light.
That is a huge improvement. Thanks for the info guys. I wish I had the cash for the group buy because I'd like to get those. They look pretty cool on the Fbody's.
