                • just took it out for a spin! roasted the tires a little bit

                  have a few things to work out, cutout didnt work so i need to rewire that, airbag light is on (?), odometer does not light up (?) and sometimes the gauges didnt work....hmmmm

                  • Got the pass 1/4 painted up. My $5 paint job did not turn out to well. The actual paint turned out pretty good but the clear coat rattle cans are really hard to use...

                      • Wetsand the hell out of it, it will look alright. It looks decent in the pics, but your camera kinda sucks. My advice with the rattle cans: Lay the paint on thick, it's easier to wetsand it after than to have to sand it down and start over. . .

                          exactly. I wetsanded the black paint 4 times. Only wetsanded the clear once so far but iwll need alot more coats

                          • Don't wetsand it until it is completely dry. When spraying urethane clear over a fresh paint job, it usually looks like crap until it flashes, then it will start to smooth out, and only minimal "orange peel" effect is left. That's when you want to start wetsanding, is when it looks better than it did when it was wet. I would say at least 3-4 more coats of clear (light coats), let it flash, then start wetsanding.
