Okay anyone that has friends interested but they are not here yet get them here ASAP!

I hope anyone else who is interested will join up so we hear everyone's opinion and can start voting on how we are going to do this thing. Anymore westsiders own birds?

Hey Ben, here is a suggestion.
How about setting a Vote date.
That way, people will know when voting will begin.
And a date when voting will end.
If you miss it, oh well, must not of been that interested.
I can't speak for everyone, but I think many people will be happy with a club anyways no matter if they voted for X or Y or not.

Plus, you really want your active members to be the key voters anyways, because they are the ones that care the most.
Keep the polls open for at least 3 days should give the majority time to vote. 7 days if you really want to be nice.
But, in order to get things done, you can't wait for everyone, because getting everyone to be ready at the same time will take forever.

You can always change some stuff later if enough people feel it should be changed. ....

Does this mean you have accepted the nomination for Membership chair? This will be a slow time for membership growth. Most firebirds are put away for the winter. What I would like to see is us getting our web site posted. Once that is done, it will be easy to spread the word. I will work on business cards, but I would like to be able to have them printed with the website URL on them. Once we have the other positions filled, you will work with the Western Membership staff on ideas to attract people to the club. We will be planning get togethers, car shows, the works. I want to see representation at as many events as possible. As Membership chair you will be the face of our club. Think of some ways that you get people interested in MIfbody and I am sure you will have more than enough to work with. Also if you could nominate someone for the other positions you would have their input too! See who would "fit" in that West MI Membership chair and your work load will be cut in half.

No problem. Take your time. It will not be as bad as you may think. I have great aspirations, but I am also realistic. Its has got to fit your schedule. I hope I have not scared you. Most of the things I posted will not be your job, half of them are me thinking ahead as well as things I have to get done to get us moving.

Angie, I think you would do great things in this position. I also think you will have a lot of fun. Please accept the nomination!
