      FIRECHICKENS UNITE!

Guys I think this is a GREAT idea. Car clubs can be alot of fun. I don't now what I would do without my fellow WMCC members.

                  LMAO!

I'm really psyched about this. Seems like there is definitely a need for a group like this. Can't wait to see how many people post.

I want this group to be as open as possible. Lets hear how we should do this thing. I can't handle the whole thing so I am going to need guys who enjoy a challenge and would like to keep us moving forward. I think in a couple of days, maybe a week I'll ask for people who are interested to come foward for board positions. Then once everyone has offered their submission we can all vote for who would be best suited for the jobs.

Thanks for the great incite so far, lets have some more please!

                    Ben,
Hey, it looks like you've got a pretty good start already!

Having the Internet, and this site at your disposal is a tremendous benefit that I didn't have available in 1975.

                    We have an Executive Board:
                    President
                    Vice-President
                    Treasurer
                    Secretary
                    Membership Chairperson
                    Club Photographer
                    Newsletter Editor
                    Web Master

You'll want to get incorporated with the State of Michigan and have a Club bank account. You'll need to establish how much the membership dues will be, and how to impliment them. Once a year, or on the members anniversary?

We have monthly meetings as well as a monthly newsletter.

You'll need to establish a common goal that the officers all agree with. Be patient, and willing to hear many different ideas and complaints. You'll find that if one person is willing to do all the work, the rest of the club will pretty much let that happen, so you need to try and get as many members involved as possible. Try not to get discouraged, or burnt out. Oh yea ... Have Fun!
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

I was cruisin' the boards and Street Lethal Performance recently set-up membership payments via paypal which automaticaly renew each year on the members aniversary date.

Just puting it out there, even though at this point you haven't sayed anything about dues Ben.

I actually created the recent Street Lethal site for them. I quit their club though after finding out some information that truely made my disgusted to even associate with them, but that's a different story.

Setting up dues with Paypal integrated into vBulletin is actually really easy to do. vBulletin as a whole is REALLY a great message board to have available, I'll never use anything else again since upgrading MiFbody to vBulletin.

Edit: I moved this to the newly established Michigan Firebird Club forum.

I agree...let's let the thread mature for a few days and then start moving.

We do have to be careful of next week tho' , as I think it's Halloween.

How about one week from today, next Wednesday, October 25th, just to have a general conversation for what we want, what we expect to get out of it, and how would we like it structured? Perhaps we could pick a time and gather in the shoutbox.

                            Open to suggestions...

If you guys decide to hold such a discussion, I'd make sure that the chatroom is working at that point so everyone could congregate in the chatroom.
