There is more to the story Campbell. I talked to Mike earlier, he will take care of things
I'm not saying he wont take care of things. What I'm saying is that time and time again he doesn't take care of things until he is directly called out in front of the limelight of the interweb.
You were ready to take your trans builders head off in your thread multiple time and he built you like 4 trans's in half the time Russ' trans has been at Mike's.. I'm just saying..
I never got angry at my builder. Jeff can vouch for it and so can a lot of other builders on this board. I gave him the upmost respect during the whole ordeal and he did the same with me
At what point do we quit cutting the guy slack with all this non sence? I understand the guy does great work, but these threads pop up every two weeks. People shouldnt have to call the guy out to get their stuff.
What happened to the whole 'i pay you, you do x service' kind of business.
is there somthing more than build me a trans that works good or build me a trans to this specs, special parts, tunes and kits, maybe somthing that takes longer, othere than the waight it just seems to be the poor comunication that is ALWAYS the deal, maybe he does need a little help, maybe you need to stop at the shop, if its to far away maybe like me go some place closer to deal face to face, i hear tha guy does great work in every thread, he just dont take the time to call or is to busy and then just forgets???
Maybe the whole story should be released considering people who where going to throw Mike some business now arent because of this... If there is more to the story we should know, I mean he is a site sponsor and all. Like Brian said he needs a new converter right now and I recommended he called Mike because of like B and others who have gotten such great converters from him, now because yet another thread Brian refuses to call Mike and give him the business, and I wouldnt either! If theres more to the story it should be told.
can't say, that is between Russ and Mike. Seems they both have a slightly different story and I'm not going to call one or the other right or wrong but its a $ issue.
I still plan on giving Mike my business,after x-mas I will be looking for a 4l60e core that I can take to him and have built.I am just going to have a back up trans incase the current one lets go..Also going to be getting one of his converters

More to the story? I'm not trying to hide nothing. If it was supposeably me not holding up my end of the bargin then that's too funny.
I gave mike 500 up front with my trans and converter in january.
I didn't get it back until 2 days before the meet n great.
Mike said since I waited so long we could call it good at me oweing him 150.
But when I got my trans it didn't look like dereks or tims . Mine wasn't sandblasted or anything. Looked to be thrown together quick
I told mike id pay him in a few weeks (t give me time to make sure it worked) and because I had to wait so long why pay him.
It wasn't 2 weeks before it started acting weird and I mentioned it in another thread someone posted about him.
Another 2 weeks go by because I had to redo my exhaust and some suspension.
By this time I canceled my storage unit since I had a place to store it.
The end of july leaving the gym my car makes a loud clunk and I have nothing not gears. I have to have it towed. Mike says rent a storage unit he"ll cover me for towing,the storage and fluid.
Mike went on to say it was my tune that caused it to blow. I bought hptuners just incase that was the problem I wasn't in the wrong. But everyone I sent it to said my line pressure was untouched.
I put at most 800 miles on the trans.
So mike says he will have it today or tomorrow at the latest to me.
But if I'm the suppose reason he's taking so long because I didn't pay him that's just insane.
I've now paid 4 months of storage $400 $100 for towing. Was promised a 2 day turn around to make woodward 2 weeks before the dream cruise. Its now november.

My goal is not to build a million converters like yank or precision. My goal is to build you the converter that will whip their a$%. I do appologize.
Thanks mike and do understand I'm not knocking you, or your work.as when it was working it worked just as you said and like I told you I was happy with the stall as it was a lot tighter compared to the orig tci. The timing just got the best of us. It sucked missing woodward and going to the track but things happend.
I just posted here as a last resort because I knew it would help get the ball rolling faster. I just don't want to be stuck trying to drive my car threw snow after all the work I just did panting theunderbody ect.
I still sent people to you long after I was having my own issues, a guy with a mustang who had his trans back quick. So understand that's upsetting to hear as well. so don't think I was out to kill your rep or anything.
I don't wanna be on bad terms with you and like I said when you picked my trans up the 2nd time id still like a new converter this winter for my setup being a little more different. If not I understand
