Our bulbs are pretty highly tweaked to try and get the most from them and produce the look that many are after so they are extra sensitive to contamination and voltage variance. We do sell the headlights withoutbulbs at a lower price for those looking to go with a more standard bulb and/or actual hids.
I do apologize to the OP for the problem and have already offered to either send another replacement at no charge or refund the cost of the bulbs so he can use our headlights with the bulbs of his choice or hids. Or do a full refund for everything. I think that pretty much covers it all
Yes, it would be great to clean with isopropyl alcohol + lint free cloth the moment right before inserting the bulbs for initial use just in case.

Just curious, would it be proper to clean the bulbs with Isopropyl 91% Rubbing Alcohol prior to first burn?Last edited by EuroLamps; August 27th, 2009, 09:29 PM.

As of right now I'm going to see how this bulb works out. I have taken extra extreme care as to not even breath on this bulb wrong.1994 Z28 Black, M6, Hardtop, SLP Loudmouth I, GM Performance Cold-Air Intake, 96-97 SS spoiler, 17" x 9.5" Chrome Z06 Motorsports, Longtubes

Yes, Sylvania Silver Stars are the best on the market, the absolute pinacle of illumination. Everyone should buy these for their cars!Originally posted by meissen View Post.
I've been using Silvania Silver Star 9006 bulbs with absolutely no problems.
(Ignore the fact that I work for Osram, the LED division of Sylvania
