  • console lid clip

    i need the part inside the center console that locks the lid down so it doesnt flap up. i dont even know what it looks like my car never had one.. lemme know whos got one

    Is it the button itself that you're suppose to push in to release the console lid, Phil?

        nope i have that part, its the thing inside of the console that keeps that little button locked down. dont even know what it looks like. im missing it so my lid flaps open all the time. what does it look like open? il post a pic of mine in a sec

            I will check mine out tomarrow. My fuse for in car lights id burnt out so i can't see it tonight.

              i dont think anything goes there, the push button is usually spring loaded, maybe your spring came out

                  Based on what i have if does not look like you are missing anything from the lower portion of your center console.


                  Pictures 1-3 are of the lower portion of the center console. Looks similar to yours.


                  Pictures 4-7 are of my spring loaded latch in the lid of the center console.

                    wow this is really confusing me! i'm not seeing anything different on yours than on mine. when i close the lid the button doesnt lock or clip to anything

                      Is your button springing out as far as mine is, in pictures 5 & 6?

                          Looks to me that the clip on the button is broken or worn out.
