Looking for a Cheap 4x4

Hey all, I'm now looking for a cheap 4WD truck or SUV, maybe even a decent station wagon (Subaru or something). Anybody got anything? The 'maro did better last winter, but these Z-Rated Falken tires are something else in the snow. . . I'm only able to spend about $500, but after tax refund time, I might be able to pull off a $1000 truck. Post 'em up! Help me out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance guys. I know it hurts you all just as much as it hurts me to drive my car in the snow.

N/M, just looked it up . . . It's a 2WD truck. . . It's in pretty good shape, though, so I might pick it up and turn it into a custom or something. He said he gets above 17 mpg in it, so IDK. . .

Well, this is prolly to late for you. But if ur interested for next winter, i have a 1991 GMC Jimmy 4x4 i will be selling when winter is over. Like i said, u prolly want something now, but thought i would throw that out there.

Alright, I just didn't want a truck that was going to handle like my Camaro. I PM'ed OT, maybe I can pick up his 89 Silverado. . . Wish me luck! My dispersement check was supposed to be like $500, but it only turned out to be about $225. Luckily my income tax check should be coming in a couple of weeks. I might just throw some snow tires on the Datsun and drive it, I haven't made up my mind yet.

Nick, got your messages, sorry, I've been offline the last couple days. I'm with these guys, for just driving, sandbags are fine. 70# bags of sand at Menard's are like $3 a bag. I put 6 of them in it when I drove it, never got stuck. Anyway, I PM'd you back.
