He's been a real party pooper lately and only been out to Woodward once or twice this year, he was going to come out on Saturday and then last minute decided not to.... hoping if he gets a nice cruiser he'll be interested and start coming out more!

When he wants to come out, let him drive the 5th gen and you drive the 4th that way he can still cruise! Doesnt he have a 5th gen himself? I know its your moms but he can always drive that.

Make sure he looks at mine before he buys something. 1997 Z28, 6spd, T-tops. Every option inlcuding 12 CD, except ASR. I am 4th owner. 99,133 miles. Air is cold. Red/Gray leather. No rust, garaged most of it's life. The bad... clearcoat pealing on top of driver's door/quarter. Exhaust leak at manifold (I was gonna put headers on it so it didn't matter to me), security dash light on. I have $5000 into it. Very nice original car that is not beat. I need the money to buy a Cobra before the Dream Cruise.

Thanks for all the help so far everyone. I talked to my dad today and he said the two cars he looked at today didn't pan out. He may have some wiggle room with his budget, but he doesn't want something that was beat on, he wants the paint to be good and doesn't need body work, etc. Would be awesome if he could find a car before the Dream Cruise, but he's not going to rush it and wants to get something that really looks good. He's going to look at two more cars tomorrow. Part of me is hoping he finds a Camaro so he can participate in Camaro Superfest with me.

No offense to Nick or his car, but the way he's been chewing through more optisparks this summer than I can count turns me off from wanting to recommend it to my dad.

For the right price, I would return the Opti that's on the car, order a new Delco opti, and replace it for him. Have him get in contact with me if he's interested. I'm probably going to replace the opti again anyway, if it's that much of a turn off, I'll bite the bullet and spend the $400+ for a Delco.
