• Wanted: 4th gen Camaro or Firebird $4,000-$5,000

Needs to be an LT1, LS1, or 3800 (no 3.4L v6s). Must have A/C. Must have a nice body - needs to be a good cruiser that's presentable. Can be convertible or T-top, no hardtop. Can be an automatic or a T56, doesn't matter. Would like for it to be lower mileage, but not too concerned as long as it's a reliable cruiser.

I know there's a few cars that are in this price range for sale here but most of the folks have ripped their A/C system out which knocks it out of the running.

Added price - $4,000 to $5,000. Think you want more than that, Brent.

My dad's looking for a cruiser. He's literally been depressed since he sold his Formula to Steel Priest

Talk to Nick, his Formula meets all of those criteria, and his AC is cold enough to freeze your nips off. And its about 1k less than your budget.

No offense to Nick or his car, but the way he's been chewing through more optisparks this summer than I can count turns me off from wanting to recommend it to my dad.

My z28 will be up for sale soon. It has A/C, 131k miles, TN car and stored in winters, just needs a drivers door and minor body work and interior work. I plan on asking $4500 but willing to negotiate.

I may be willing to sell my z28/rs, (118k mi) it has the cold ac/ check engine light is on because I just removed egr and air but still have everything. But I would like a little more than your $5k limit. It has the black zr1s with like 80% tread in front and brand new nittos 315/35 in the rear. Let me know. If u don't want the wheels we can probably work out a deal.

LOL. Yeah, though I would say that is more about trying to buy a cheap remanned Opti rather than just biting the bullet and getting a better quality one. Ah well, good luck with the search! I'll keep my eyes open.

Plum Nuts - the 95 LT1 Z28 T56 with leather looks like a nice car.

I know dad's going to look at two cars today - we'll see.

Tell your dad to be warned! So many of these Craiglist "gems" are total POS! No joke, before buying your Dad's car I looked at 5 cars priced higher than his. 2 of them had substantial rust -- meaning rust holes straight through to the interior! For over $5K! I simply couldn't believe the wasted time I spent looking at these clunkers. If Craiglist people would just be honest.

On a side note, if he's willing to travel check Kentucky listings. I've been down there 5 weeks in the past 8 months and I'm amazed how nothing rusts down there. I have seen tons of 4th gens that look virgin yet they're cruisers/drivers. Just a suggestion.

For as much junk is out there I feel like my black car was a steal. Hope he finds something, he could have it at the dream cruise!

I'm not going to lie - part of me is hoping the two cars he's looking at today pan out. He's been a real party pooper lately and only been out to Woodward once or twice this year, he was going to come out on Saturday and then last minute decided not to.... hoping if he gets a nice cruiser he'll be interested and start coming out more!
