Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Mike, please let me know what you want for the dipstick/tube and TA mount. I need the whole assembly: bolts, rubber, everything (if you have it)
Waiting for the guy I sold my trans back to send me a few things. Just throw a few bucks down for shipping and you can have them. I'll get with Jeff and ship it all together. Whats your timeline?
I do need the vacuum hose going from the intake to the brake booster, as well as the fitting for the brake booster.
I could use an EVAP purge solenoid. The one I have will work, but the connector socket is cracked up. Not a big deal.
I'm missing 2 of the 3 clamps for the stock air intake and lid. Not entirely sure what route I'll be going with MAF (stock or truck) but I need to get the airbox/intake duct stuff in working order.
I need a power steering line, the pressure side. I could use a pump pulley as well because it is chipped, but not necessary at the moment.
I need to figure out the battery hold down/coolant overflow setup. At some point a battery leaked and corroded this stuff. Also need to see if the + battery cable I have (off a Silverado) will work
HVAC vacuum from the firewall to the line in the engine harness, is there supposed to be a plastic adapter?
I need to find the rear steam line plugs. I know they are around here somewhere!
I hope that's everything I need to get this car back on the road, albeit in pretty poor cosmetic shape Who cares if the muffler is rotted out?

Geez I probably have most of that as I changed everything booster and intake....

Please let me know!! I ordered OEM intake bolts, purge solenoid tube, oil pressure switch/sensor, and some other odd ball things things over the weekend just to get this thing fired up soon. I'm dead set on getting the mechanical side done before Christmas.
At one point I had an extra MAF from a 4.3L....I think that's the same as LS1? I'll have to search. If I use that I'll need to get an IAT sensor for the lid.
Thanks fellas! Looks like a bunch of the little parts will be here Friday. The family Thanksgiving/Christmas get together is this weekend so not much will get done until sometime mid next week
I have nearly everything hooked up, here is the final list.
- Positive and negative battery cables. I have a negative side that will work if need be.
- A/C compressor lines (Jeff)
- Torque arm mount and trans dipstick/filler tube (Mike)
- PCV line
- Brake booster vacuum line/booster fitting
(I'll run regular hose for the time being but would rather have OEM)
- Coolant reservoir setup w/ fittings and hoses. Battery hold down bolt would be nice. All this was destroyed by a leaking battery as far as I can tell...not pretty.
