  • WANTED - Third Gen Convertible Fender Bracket

I guess my convertible was in a fender bender in the past and whoever fixed it just cut to lower portion of the fender off and never swapped over the lower bracket made for these convertibles. Anyone know of a junkyard with a third gen convertible? Doesn't matter if it is a Camaro or Firebird, junked or not.

Convertibles have a completely different lower rear mount:

    1998 Camaro Z28 - Bright Red, 6.0 TR224, 4l60e, 3.42 Eaton TrueTrac
    1989 Camaro IROC-Z Convertible - 355 big tube TPI, WC T5, 3.42 Zexel Torsen, CTS-V/C4 brakes
    1955 Bel Air 2 Door Post - 357 TPI, Muncie M20, 4 wheel disc

There's another GM employee in Troy that has a nice IROC vert and a parts car or two. Dave H. had me pick up a couple of items for his from this guy. PM me and I'll see if I can find his name if you can't get what you need.

Thank you! This is the last thing that I need which cannot be found in any magazine. I tried Young's and Hawk's, no answer from either.

Hawks has one. $50 plus $10 for shipping, looks like I might have to bite the bullet.

How much more money do you think you could save? Your time is worth money too. If you're in a hurry to get it, best to just suck it up and buy it, and just skip going to the movies one night...

I'll just have to cut out my Jimmy John's for a week Kidding, just got my taxes back today. 60 bucks for a small part seems outrageous but it is what it is, not many around.

LOL! I know what you mean -- all the special vert-only bits are always priced at a premium, when you can find them, that is...

Have you checked out Space Coast Camaro & Firebird too by any chance?
