  • Looking for a 4th Gen Rear Axle

Hello, I am in Muskegon and I am looking for a fourth gen rear axle for a project. It doesn't need to be complete. I really only need the housing with all the brackets still intact. Don't need axle's or carrier. Cash in hand.

My son just pulled the stock axle from his 98 Firebird to put in a different one. There is nothing wrong with it and would be great for what your trying to accomplish He/we would like to get rid of it.

$50 and its yours. The only thing once again, is that we live in Clarkston, MI

That's the plan. I don't know how you did your's but I see most people use sleeve's and mate the 10 bolt tubes the the 8.8 stubs from the center section. I picked up a Crown Vic rear that measure's 9/10"s shorter on each side. I plane to swap the brackets, put 9" bearing end's on it with a TA mount and custom axle shafts.

If you wanna give me a few bucks for fuel and meet in Caledonia I'm heading out that way tomorrow at 8am and could grab the axle from Jim for you.

Thanks for all your help guys. Very considerate to be willing to help out fellow F body guys so much. It look's like I will be picking one up from WMCC Nick on Saturday. I can't beleive how quick everyone was to respond and be willing to lend a hand. Thanks again.
