  • Wanted: LS1 brake stuff

Decided to pull the trigger and upgrade to LS1 front brakes on my car. I will need calipers and spindles (I plan on getting new pads and rotors anyway). Anybody got some sitting around they'll let go for cheap?

I looked the other day on Tech and didn't say something. I probably won't be buying from the guy in that thread though...don't feel like shipping from Italy

bump, I think I'm getting calipers from sman, but I still need spindles. Anybody have anything? Otherwise I'll just resort to car-part.com

also, are spindles different from 98-02 V6 cars versus V8 cars?

Did you get my PM on the spindle? I also have a brand new set of ceramic brake pads for LS1, front and rear. Taking up space in the garage.

No, and up until last month, I had a set of those too.

Deal on the calipers BTW, Ill see if I can get to blasting them tomorrow morning super early or later tonight. Only things you should need are the seals for the pistons and maybe the boots for the slide pins.

I did get your PM on the spindle, I would like to find both in the same place if I could. And how difficult is it to replace the stud?

easy. Gently tap out old one. Get a new one and use washers and open lug to tighten it back on

I think I'm just going to do the front conversion. How much do you want for just the fronts?
