it may be a 3.1 if i remember, not exact sure on miles, car is from florida, the guy I bought it from said they couldnt keep it idling, thinking around a 100 or even trade too. I was just going to strip the engine and get whatever I could for it. Im thinking its a sensor, cause the guy drove for a summer then parked it for winter, then had problems spring time. Once I get the car home, your more then welcome to come check it out.

My mechanic is doing a 2.8 to a 454 swap or something swap on a 3rd gen Camaro. I'll ask him about the engine and get back to you. Any idea on how much your willing to spend?

I asked him about that motor. He said the head gasket is blown and has just over 100,000 miles, let me know if your interested and I'll get a price for you.

if you could get pics inbetween now and then it would be cool..Thanks man and 2.8 3.1 either is fine thanks again bro

Mark yeah you can ask him just in case but the one i have now has blown head gaskets and id rather replace the motor

I plan to fully rebuild my 2.8 and do some weird shit to it but need a good motor in the meantime...

haha, yea, its a drive, but I went all the way to Brandon's place in PawPaw, which during the day wasnt a bad drive at all, did it there and back using 3/4 of a tank of gas, cruise control set at 65 both ways. Just googled mapped it and its about 2.5 hrs one way from me to you.
