3rd gen camaro shell

if anyone has a solid rust free shell for a thirdgen for cheap say 100-200 dollars or something. i only need the basic shell, dont need interior/engine/trans or anything like that. needs to be an automatic car though. im going to swap everything from my car over to a new shell because mine isnt in very good shape.

yeah my car is complete, but rusted to hell, and id feel safer with a solid one that way i know im not gonna fall through the floor or the car wont snap in half on me. also it gives me a chance to rerebuild it the way i want

Considering scrap is almost up to around $300 a ton, thats going to be a pretty hard find. Hope you find what your looking for. Eric L

If you car is rusted to the point that it needs floor pans you better safe up much more money! I know you don't want to spend much money but I think in the long run you will be better off paying 2-3 grand and buying a nice solid vehicle. Rust doesn't sleep, you will break many many bolts, you will need brake lines, fuel lines, clips, then "I am putting together I shoudl put on new brakes, shocks, hoses, bushings etc". Thats the way I look at it,

brian, i already sorta replaced the floor pans but lets not talk about that, the car is better off being swapped to a different shell, its probably one of the worst rusted third gens ever. i have replaced all brake lines, hoses, shocks, and bushings were still good. the story is that the car was built late december 1984 and as the workers went on break the car sat outside till next year. so they never dried the car they just put it inside let it sit a few days and painted over whatever was left in it moisture wise. trust me i know i found a leaf under the factory paint inside the floor, i also found rust under the paint that was chipped away. so basically the car rotted from the inside out, but never touched the actual frame rails or any one that. so honestly the car was doomed to be a rust bucket from day one, unless my dad had the idea of tearing i apart completely back in 1988
