  • 350 or LS1

Im looking for either a nice 350, 355, or 383 complete (or atleast with pistons) for sale or a nice lower miled LS1 complete motor for pretty cheap. Throw some prices at me. Whats the worse I could say? No? But looking for a 350 complete or a LS1 with lower miles on it. Looking for a winter project for my car.

When the rear end's loose, the car's fast. Loose is fast, and on the edge you're out of control.

LS swap will not be had for cheap. Many variables besides the engine to account for.
    Makin Torque.

The LS1 swap may be more expensive and more difficult, but the performance advantage over the old style 350/383 would be huge.

There was a guy on here that had a 350 4 bolt main short block for sale a while ago.
I just wrote him about it 2 weeks ago and he still had it.
He only wanted $75 for it.
I ended up finding another block so i did not buy his engine.
                  He probably still has it.
Here is the link to it.

Hard to beat a stock LS1's power.

its hard to beat the price of it... Ive heard of "touched by the hand of god" for the LS1's but i dont know if ill be able to offord a swap like that. Dont get me wrong LS1's have alot of power but its hard to find one for cheap.

Get an lq4 or lq9, they can be had at much more reasonable prices than an ls1

Can I ask what kind of budget you have/want to throw at the swap?

If cost is a problem, go with a 383 or 400 (if you can find one).

You won't get the gas mileage that a LS motor will give you, but you can do it for 1/2 the price or less and make the same power.
