x2. That is a very difficult find you are looking for. I think your going to break down and save up some more money, accept a car with a few bruises, etc, or even easier buy a slower car. lol

my best advise would be keep an eye out at racingjunk.

Want to buy something for 8k that probably cost 10k in parts alone, not including the vehicle itself or the labor (since it can't be a backyard mechanic, it sounds like you're looking for something from Livernois or Stenod).

Good luck either way - bump for ya.

8k won't even touch a car let alone a running motor that's been done by either shop.

Could probably find a Mustang with a bottle in it.

Sleeper, you got a lot more saving to do if you want a properly built car.

Best bet is to find something solid(near stock/or stock) and build it yourself.

Just to give you an idea I have ~10k into mine doing all the work myself, getting REALLY good buys on things, and getting a ridiculous good buy on the car to begin with and I'm hoping to hit high high 11's even though that goal is attainable with another $100 for LCA brackets.

agreed. not to be a complete jerk.. ...but, i would be beyond insulted if someone offered only 8 grand for my car and, although has a pretty significant build, doesnt have any timeslips as of yet.

if you buy a solid stock/near stock vehicle, the money leftover (from 8 grand) wont even cover the parts you would need to solidly/reliably hold the power youll be pushing .

not saying that it isnt worth looking, as stranger things have happened, but you should probably expect more of a sleeper (pun intended ) if you only want to spend 8 grand and have those proven times... ..with a solid build. i think the killer here is that it sounds like you want a turnkey car with a perfect body

.... and a tire, I'd be verrrry surprised if you hit 11s on street tires.

and you guys are wrong our cars aren't worth what we have into them I' gladly take 10K for mine.
