so i went to the junkyard today to pick up an ac compressor for my z, when driving down bunert saw a 1996 camaro ss in the front row of macomb collisions junkyard. ran in and the guy pointed the compressor out to me and with a huge shit grin i just said, "ya thanks, how much for the hood and spoiler off that ss!" he goes you missed the hood by an hour some kid put a deposit on it, spoiler is yours. snagged that today and im super excited except its red but owell car is getting paint this season anyways. but heres a kicker the guy sold that oem lt1 ss hood for $250 bones! i told him im willing to pay more and he said legally he couldnt until the 48 hours ran out on the kids deposit, so im waiting anxoiusly by my phone hoping the kid is a no show. all about timing folks to bad i wasnt a hour earlier!

well top dollar vendors on ebay are 550ish shipped. when they hit clist last i saw one was $350 but i missed snagging it. i have a hook up threw a chevy dealer but id be paying 600+ on a discount. lol so ill entertain resonable ones, and liberty fiberglass makes a ss hood to fit a 93-97 but the scoop is ls1 style.

Yes, the paint is horrible. Who ever painted it before I bought it did a TERRIBLE job.

o ok, well say i found a black z28 hood which i may no of one, how much would it be worth to you for stock hood plus cash? that way theres no painting involved or anything on your end, just swapping hoods
