Gvperformance needs a 3.8l car for true dual testing
Is it just me???.... But I think true dual exhaust shouldn't have a X pipe it because it changes the tone quite a bit.
Not sure what you mean by "shouldn't", true duals have x pipes, h pipes and some guys run just straight pipes and no crossovers. Each way changes the tone yes, but they all can be used in a TD setup.

I would love to have true duals... I have a 96 3800 camaro, just got a dynomax muffler and tips, but I know tds would get a much more noticeable performance improvement and probably sound good above 2k rpms as well as under 2k... I just don't have headers. :[ otherwise I would do this in a heartbeat.
i disagree. crossovers are a valuable source of scavenging and should always be used on true duals.
I am impressed!, there is a term that isn't used very often! From a power stand point I agree 100%.
But if it a stock motor or has a small cam, a straight piped exhaust in my opnion always sounds better than an exhaust with a crossover. Like my chevelle it is going to be slow for a while so I want it to sound good. lol
